Designing for inclusion is internationally known as inclusive design or design for all. The inclusive design does not exclude anyone for who or what the person is. The idea of inclusive design is allowing as many people as possible to use products, buildings and services. Inclusive design is important for many reasons, but the most crucial is that it enhances the user experience of a diverse audience. The term user experience describes all the aspects of the experience of the user when interacting with a product, service, surrounding or facility. The term is mostly used when designing websites or applications. Besides that, the term can also be used when talking about product interaction, including non-digital use. To account for differences, inclusive design revolves around nine characteristics. It involves age, abilities, religion, ethnicity, social-economic status, sexual orientation, background, nationality and sex. These together are the ADDRESSING characteristics.
